   On page 1, beginning on line 17, strike all material through "company." on page 2, line 3, and insert "The department shall communicate to international companies considering an investment in Washington, that such companies are considered a person as defined in RCW 82.04.030 and as such are eligible for excise tax incentives provided in Title 82 in the same manner as any domestic company. This may be accomplished in written materials provided by the department and by posting such information on a department website."

EFFECT: Directs the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (DCTED) to communicate to international companies considering investing in Washington that an international company investing in Washington is considered a "person" for excise tax purposes as well as tax incentive purposes. The DCTED may accomplish this through written materials and/or a website posting.
