ESSB 6090 - H AMD TO APP COMM AMD (H-3010.5/05)

   On page 81, line 28, decrease the site closure account--state appropriation by $88,000.

   On page 81, line 34, decrease the state toxics control account--state appropriation by $4,791,000.

   On page 82, line 23, correct the total.

   On page 84, after line 13, insert: "(14) The department shall not expend funds related to implementation of intiative 297 until the legality of the initiative is resolved. It is anticipated that the court challenge of the legality of the initiative will not be resolved during the 2005-07 biennium."

EFFECT: Eliminates the appropriation in the Department of Ecology's budget for Initiative 297 (The Cleanup Priority Act). Directs the Department of Ecology to not expend any funds for this purpose until the legality of the initiative is resolved. That is not anticipated to happen during the 2005-07 biennium.

FISCAL IMPACT: Reduces Other Funds by $4,879,000.
