EFFECT: Appropriates an additional $6.7 million (total funds) to the Department of Social and Health Services Developmental Disabilities and Aging and Adult Services Programs so that home care agencies receive additional payments equivalent in value to providing dental, vision, and vacation benefits as funded in the budget for individual providers who contract directly with the state to provide home care services (i.e., collective bargaining agreement for individual home care providers). Language specifying specific per hour compensation increases equivalent to hourly wage increases provided to individual providers is removed (i.e., 27 cents per hour on July 1, 2005, and 23 cents per hour on July 1, 2006).
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increases General Fund-State by $3,357,000.
Increases Other Funds by $3,326,000.
