   On page 46, after line 4, insert the following:

   "(20) In accordance with the national environmental policy act, the department shall select a preferred alternative for the state route number 520 bridge replacement and HOV project by January 1, 2007."

EFFECT: Directs DOT to select a preferred alternative for the 520 bridge project by January 1, 2007.
