   On page 3, beginning on line 33, after "must" strike everything through "created." on line 37 and insert "((be a resident of the county in which the city is located)) live within reasonable proximity of the municipal court. For the purposes of this section, "reasonable proximity" shall be determined after consideration of the factors set forth in RCW 39.34.010."

EFFECT: Removes the requirement that a municipal court judge must be a resident of the county where the municipal court is located and instead requires that the judge live within "reasonable proximity" of the municipal court considering geographic, economic, population, and other factors.
