   On page 3, after line 29, insert the following:

   "(7)(a) A contracting city that meets the requirements of RCW 39.34.180 by entering into an interlocal agreement with the county in which the city is located or with one or more cities according to section 3, chapter . . . (Substitute House Bill No. 3082), Laws of 2006, may appoint the judge of the hosting jurisdiction to sit as the municipal court judge for the contracting city and hear those cases specified in chapter 39.34 RCW.

   (b) For the purposes of this section:

   (i)"Contracting city" means any city that contracts with a hosting jurisdiction for the delivery of judicial services; and

   (ii) "Hosting jurisdiction" means a county or city designated in an interlocal agreement as receiving compensation for providing judicial services to the contracting city."

EFFECT: Provides that a city that contracts for judicial services to be provided by a county or by another city (under SHB 3082) may appoint the judge of that hosting jurisdiction to sit as the municipal judge for the contracting city.
