   On page 1, beginning on line 6, strike all of section 1 and insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 29A.08 RCW to read as follows:

   The county auditor shall, within seventy-two hours of receipt, publish on the auditor's internet web site the entire content of any voter challenge filed under chapter 29A.08 RCW. Immediately after publishing any voter challenge, the county auditor shall send notice by electronic mail of the filing of each voter challenge to any person who subscribes to receive such notifications on an ongoing basis. "

   On page 7, line 36, after "provide to" strike "each party representative" and insert "any person, upon request,"

EFFECT: Removes the provisions allowing major political parties to file contact information with the county auditor for the purpose of receiving notice of voter challenges and requiring voters who initiate challenges to provide notice and a copy of each filed challenge to the designated political party contact persons. Requires county auditors to publish the entire content of every voter challenge of a voter's registration on the auditor's internet web site within seventy-two hours of receipt, and to send notice immediately thereafter by electronic mail of such filings to any person who subscribes to receive such notifications.
