On page 6, after line 33 of the amendment, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 7 Each retainer agreement entered into
between a retainer provider and a retainer subscriber must contain, in
ten-point type on the front page, the following notice:
NOTICE: This retainer agreement is issued by a retainer health care practice. A retainer health care practice is not subject to all the insurance laws and regulations of your state. State insurance insolvency guaranty funds are not available for a retainer health care practice."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Requires retainer medicine practices to place a notice in retainer agreements announcing that retainer practices are not subject to insurance laws nor are insolvency guaranty funds available.
