On page 10, beginning on line 18, strike all of section 8 and insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 8. A new section is added to chapter 29A.44 RCW to read as follows:

Any person desiring to vote at any primary or election is required to provide photo identification to the election officer before signing the poll book. The name on the photo identification must match the name in the poll book. Any person who desires to vote in person but cannot provide photo identification as required in this section must be issued a provisional ballot."

Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Requires that individuals desiring to vote at a poll site must provide photo identification.
