On page 10, beginning on line 18, strike all of section 8 and insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 8. A new section is added to chapter 29A.44 RCW to read as follows:

Any person desiring to vote at any primary or election is required to provide a valid driver's license, state identification card, United States passport, or United States military identification card to the election officer before signing the poll book. Any person who desires to vote in person but cannot provide identification as required in this section must be issued a provisional ballot."

Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Requires driver's license, state identification card, US passport or US military identification card before signing the poll book and voting at a poll site.
