Background:
The County Road Administration Board administers the county portion of the motor vehicle
fuel tax, issues standards of good practice, and provides technical services to the road
departments of Washington's 39 counties.
Under current law, the County Road Administration Board is to be composed of three
members from counties with a population of 125,000 or more, four members from counties
with a population from 12,000 to less than 125,000, and two members from counties with a
population less than 12,000.
Summary of Bill:
Revises County Road Administration Board membership population thresholds to state that
four members are to come from counties with a population from 25,000 to less than 125,000,
and two members from counties with a population less than 25,000.
Appropriation: None.
Fiscal Note: Available.
Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
