Background:

Area Agencies on Aging provide case management services to clients who are eligible to receive home and community services.

Summary of Bill:

The Department of Social and Health Services is authorized to contract with alternative delivery systems to provide case management services to clients. If the Department contracts for the delivery of case management services, it may limit the responsibility of Area Agencies on Aging to reassessing and reauthorizing services.

Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
