Background: In order to extend its services and programs, the Department of Community Trade and Economic Development is allowed to charge fees for international trade and other services. The fees are not to exceed the costs of providing the service.

Fees are permitted to recover the Department of Agriculture's costs of publishing and disseminating informational materials.

Summary of Bill: The Department of Community, Trade, and Economic Development and the Department of Agriculture are to charge fees for export-related technical assistance that results in overseas sales.

Appropriation: None.
