A new section is added to chapter 46.61 RCWto read as follows: A person who has a current national certification as a childpassenger safety technician and who in good faith provides inspection,adjustment, or educational services regarding child passenger restraintsystems is not liable for civil damages resulting from any act oromission in providing the services, other than acts or omissionsconstituting gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct.NEW SECTION.Sec. Section 1 of this act takes effect June 1,2007. Correct the title.Changes the effective date of provisions that change childage and height guidelines for child passenger restraint systems fromninety days after the adjournment of session in which the bill ispassed to June 1, 2007. Retains the effective date of ninety daysafter the adjournment of session in which the bill is passed for theprovision of the bill that provides certain persons who inspect oreducate on proper child restraint use are not liable for civil damagesunder certain circumstances.--- END --- 1
