EFFECT: Appropriates additional funding to the Department of Social and Health Services Aging and Adult Services Program to increase Medicaid nursing facility payments. Removes the direction to increase direct care, therapy care, support services, and operations component rates by 3.2 percent effective July 1, 2007. Removes language that required the Joint Legislative Task Force on Long-Term Care Residential Facility Payment Systems recommendations related to payments in fiscal year 2009 to be consistent with the amounts appropriated to DSHS to increase nursing facility payments in FY 2009.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Increases General Fund-State by $15,513,000.

Increases Other Funds by $16,417,000.
