   On page 6, after line 33 of the amendment, insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 5. The sum of nine million two hundred thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for the fiscal biennium ending June 30, 2009, from the general fund to the secretary of state for the purposes of this act. This sum is provided for the implementation costs of this act to the secretary of state and county auditors."

   Renumber remaining section consecutively.

EFFECT: Appropriates $9.2 million dollars to implement voter registration up to and on election day.
