   On page 8, after line 24, insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 7. If specific funding is not provided in the supplemental appropriations act by June 30, 2008, to the office of the attorney general for the purposes of defending the State of Washington from a lawsuit filed because of this act, referencing this act by bill or chapter number, this act is null and void."

   Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Provides a null and void clause if funding is not provided to the Attorney General's office to defend the State from a lawsuit filed as a result of the passage of this act.
