   On page 1, beginning on line 25 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 2

   On page 3, beginning on line 16 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 4

   Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: 1) Strikes section 2 in its entirety and thus eliminates the requirement that the Department of Community, Trade, and Economic Development (DCTED) provide counties and cities with climate change response methodologies, a computer modeling program, and estimates of greenhouse gas emission reductions likely to result from specific reduction measures; and 2) strikes section 4 in its entirety and thus a) eliminates the requirement the DCTED issue a report containing specified descriptions, assessments, and recommendations related to climate change issues, and b) eliminates the requirement that DCTED convene an advisory policy committee composed of specified representatives from the state and local governments, regulatory agencies, and specified interest groups.
