On page 5, beginning on line 1, strike all of section 6 and insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 6 The following acts or parts of acts are
each repealed:
(1) RCW 43.131.389 (Office of public defense -- Termination) and 1998
c 108 s 2 & 1996 c 221 s 7; and
(2) RCW 43.131.390 (Office of public defense -- Repeal) and 1998 c
108 s 3 & 1996 c 221 s 8."

On page 1, line 3 of the title, after "43.131.389" strike ", 43.131.390, and 2.70.050" and insert "and 43.131.390"
EFFECT: A mistake in the bill is remedied. The bill would have accidentally repealed the transfer of authority from the Supreme Court and AOC to OPD. The effect of this amendment is to leave this authority with OPD.
