On page 1, after line 17, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 2 A new section is added to chapter 28A.305
RCW to read as follows:
The state board of education shall not require students who attend
private school in accordance with chapter 28A.195 RCW or students who
receive home-based instruction in accordance with chapter 28A.200 RCW
to meet the essential academic learning requirements in order to
graduate from high school."

EFFECT: Specifically provides that home-schooled students and private school students do not have to meet the essential academic learning requirements.
