On page 1, after line 6, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 2 A new section is added to chapter 47.60 RCW
to read as follows:
(1) The money derived from eliminating the handling loss deduction,
established in section 10, chapter 176, Laws of 1998, must be dedicated
through the 2013-2015 biennium for safety projects on state route
number 2 between milepost 15.64 and milepost 30.28.
(2) This section expires June 30, 2015."
Renumber the remaining section consecutively and correct the title.
EFFECT: From July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2015, the money derived from eliminating the handling loss deduction for the motor vehicle fuel tax is to be used for safety projects on State Route 2 between milepost 15.64 and milepost 30.28.
