    On page 7, after line 2 of the amendment, insert the following:

    "Sec. 8.  This act applies to the benefits of all members killed in the course of employment since January 1, 2009."

EFFECT:   Makes the increased lump-sum benefits payable to the survivors of members that died as a result of injuries sustained in the course of employment since January 1, 2009, rather than the survivors of members that died after the effective date of the act.
