    On page 4, after line 31 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

    "(9) Nothing in this section or RCW 90.58.090: (a) Affects or may be construed as affecting exemptions in chapter 90.58 RCW pertaining to construction on shorelands by an owner, lessee, or contract purchaser of a single family residence for his or her own use or for the use of his or her family; or (b) subjects or may be construed as subjecting exemptions in chapter 90.58 RCW pertaining to construction on shorelands by an owner, lessee, or contract purchaser of a single family residence for his or her own use or for the use of his or her family to chapter 36.70A RCW."

EFFECT:   Specifies that nothing in certain provisions of the striking amendment: (a) Affects or may be construed as affecting exemptions in the Shoreline Management Act (SMA) pertaining to construction on shorelands by an owner, lessee, or contract purchaser of a single family residence for his or her own use or for the use of his or her family; or (b) subjects or may be construed as subjecting exemptions in the SMA pertaining to construction on shorelands by an owner, lessee, or contract purchaser of a single family residence for his or her own use or for the use of his or her family to the Growth Management Act.
