    On page 4, after line 31 of the striking amendment, insert the following:

    "(9) Nothing in this section or RCW 90.58.090: (a) Affects or may be construed as affecting exemptions in chapter 90.58 RCW pertaining to construction of a dock, including a community dock, designed for pleasure craft only, for the private noncommercial use of the owner; or (b) subjects or may be construed as subjecting exemptions in chapter 90.58 RCW pertaining to construction of a dock, including a community dock, designed for pleasure craft only, for the private noncommercial use of the owner to chapter 36.70A RCW."

EFFECT:  Specifies that nothing in certain provisions of the striking amendment: (a) Affects or may be construed as affecting exemptions in the Shoreline Management Act (SMA) pertaining to construction of a dock, including a community dock, designed for pleasure craft only, for the private noncommercial use of the owner; or (b) subjects or may be construed as subjecting exemptions in the SMA pertaining to construction of a dock, including a community dock, designed for pleasure craft only, for the private noncommercial use of the owner to the Growth Management Act.
