    On page 35, line 13 of the striking amendment, after "legislation;" strike "and"

    On page 35, line 17 of the striking amendment, after "level" insert "; and

    (4)  Examine opportunities for and the feasibility of incorporating a system of quality management, accountability, and performance improvement such as the Baldridge national quality program into the overall state system continuous school improvement."

EFFECT:   Directs the State Board of Education to examine the feasibility of incorporating a quality management system such as the Baldridge National Quality Program into the overall school improvement system.
