"Sec. 1   RCW 38.52.532 and 2006 c 210 s 2 are each amended to read as follows:
     On an annual basis, the enhanced 911 advisory committee shall provide an update on the status of enhanced 911 service in the state to the appropriate committees in the legislature. The enhanced 911 advisory committee, in consultation with the Washington state patrol, must initiate a review of existing 911 operations and analyze efficiencies in enhanced 911 operations, including, but not limited to, regionalization of facilities, centralization of equipment, and statewide purchasing. The review must also recommend ways, within existing funds, that counties can regionalize or consolidate facilities based on the regional locations of Washington state patrol communications facilities. The review and recommendations must be submitted to the fiscal committees of the house of representatives and the senate by December 1, 2009."
