    On page 17, after line 29, insert the following:

    "(5) This act shall not apply to any hospital provider contracts entered into, issued or amended by the managed care organizations for services provided pursuant to a contract with the Health Care Authority for the Basic Health plan, which may be based upon the Medicaid fee-for-service reimbursement rates."

    Renumber subsections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:   Specifies that the act does not apply to hospital contracts held by managed care organizations for the Basic Health Plan.
