On page 3, beginning on line 31 of the amendment, after "agency."
strike all material through "business." on line 34 and insert "((Such
policies shall include but not be limited to a definition of what
constitutes authorized use of a state owned or controlled passenger
motor vehicle and other motor vehicles on official state business.))"
On page 4, line 5 of the amendment, after "vehicles." insert "State agencies must balance the life-cycle cost, ability to receive competent maintenance, vehicle durability, and a vehicle's ability to satisfy its purpose, as well as the miles per gallon when creating strategies and purchasing vehicles."
EFFECT: Deletes the requirement that the director of the office of financial management must establish policies that include a definition of what constitutes authorized use of a state-owned or controlled passenger motor vehicle and other motor vehicles on official state business. Requires state agencies to balance the life-cycle cost, ability to receive competent maintenance, vehicle durability, and a vehicle's ability to satisfy its purpose, as well as the miles per gallon when creating strategies and purchasing vehicles.
