    On page 3, line 8 of the striking amendment, after "levy" insert "or based on direct costs of anticipated services as negotiated by the parties"

EFFECT: Authorizes the contracting parties to negotiate the requisite amount of "adequate compensation" based upon the anticipated direct costs of fire protection and/or emergency medical services.
