On page 3, after line 19 of the amendment, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 3 (1) The department must consider job losses
that may occur as a result of implementing new greenhouse gas reduction
programs.
(2) The governor must ensure there is no net loss of jobs at
comparable wage or better under any greenhouse gas reduction program
implemented in Washington."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
EFFECT: Requires the department of ecology to consider job losses that occur as a result of implementing new greenhouse gas reduction programs. Requires the governor to ensure no net loss of jobs under any greenhouse gas reduction program implemented in Washington.
