EFFECT: Restores three reductions and eliminates one enhancement in the proposed budget as follows: 1) Restores K-4 certificated instructional staff ratio ($11.2 million); 2) Restores all bonuses paid to national board for professional teaching standards-certified teachers ($5.7 million); 3) Restores funding for Navigation 101, a high school career guidance counseling program ($3.2 million); and 4) Eliminates funding for IT system development to support implementation of new pupil transportation and basic education funding formulas (-$2.5 million).
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increases General Fund-State by $17,600,000.
