On page 2, line 14, after "areas." insert "Manufactured/mobile home parks have a long history as areas that provide housing opportunities for all economic segments of the population. Their numbers are shrinking due to development pressures that threaten to eliminate this housing option. The inclusion of manufactured/mobile home parks in the regional transfer of development rights program will assist in slowing the conversion of these areas."
On page 5, line 31, after "forestry;" strike "and"
On page 5, line 33, after "priorities" insert "; and
(d) Land that is in current use as a manufactured/mobile home park
as defined in chapter 59.20 RCW"
EFFECT: (1) Adds language that includes manufactured/mobile home
parks in the regional transfer of development rights program.
(2) Additional language is added stating that manufactured/mobile
home parks provide housing opportunities for all economic segments of
the population.
(3) Requires that counties use as a criteria to guide the
designation of sending areas for participating in the regional transfer
of development rights program that the land is in current use as a
manufactured/mobile home park.
