Background: Under current law, the Department of Licensing (DOL) must provide a statement for those applying for a driver's license, driver's license renewal, or identicard to allow them the opportunity to designate that they wish to be organ and tissue donors on their license.
Summary of Bill: DOL must assume that all persons who apply for a driver's license or identicard would like to be organ and tissue donors. DOL must provide a clear, visible, and prominently displayed statement allowing the applicant to opt-out of this assumption.
