     AN ACT Relating to informing electric customers of the carbon dioxide emissions associated with their electricity consumption; and adding a new section to chapter 19.29A RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1   A new section is added to chapter 19.29A RCW to read as follows:
     A retail supplier shall disclose in the customer billing for each retail electric customer the estimated carbon dioxide emissions associated with the retail electric customer's electricity consumption. This estimate may be based on the retail supplier's fuel mix for the electricity product provided.
