     WHEREAS, There is general agreement that the state of Washington is facing an extraordinary fiscal challenge and that bold measures are needed in order to successfully meet this challenge; and
     WHEREAS, The Legislature recognizes that Article II, section 12 of the state Constitution authorizes regular legislative sessions in even-numbered years of no more than sixty days in length;
     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the state of Washington, the Senate concurring, That the House of Representatives and the Senate agree to adopt joint rules for the 2010 legislative session that include cut-off dates and other necessary language to enable the 2010 legislature to adjourn Sine Die in forty-five days or less.
