HB 2333 - DIGEST

Requires the parks and recreation commission to: (1) Attempt to recruit and maintain volunteers to serve as park hosts in all state parks in order to have volunteer park hosts available at each state park for at least eight hours of every day that the park is open; and

(2) In state parks that are not staffed by volunteer park hosts, utilize unmanned donation collection boxes to solicit voluntary donations from park guests.

Authorizes the commission to use unmanned voluntary collection boxes in state parks staffed by volunteer park hosts.

Prohibits the commission from charging volunteer park hosts for camping, boat moorage, utility hookups, or other fees charged for the use of state parks and state parks facilities.

Provides that donations collected under the act must be deposited into the state parks renewal and stewardship account.
