Governs pretrial release or detention for the purpose of reasonably assuring public safety.

Takes effect January 1, 2011, upon approval of the voters of the proposed amendment to Article I, section 20 of the state Constitution relating to bailable crimes by sufficient sureties.

Expires July 1, 2011.
