    On page 5, line 18, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2012 by $3,005,000

 

    On page 5, line 19, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2013 by $3,006,000

 

    On page 5, line 23, decrease the judicial information systems account--state appropriation by $1,038,000

 

    On page 5, line 26, correct the total.

 

    On page 6, beginning on line 4, strike all of subsection (3) and insert the following:

    "(3) No later than September 30, 2011, the judicial information systems committee shall provide a report to the legislature on the recommendations of the case management feasibility study, including plans for a superior court management information system (SCOMIS) replacement, and plans for completing the data exchange core system component consistent with a complete data exchange standard. No later than December 31, 2011, the judicial information systems committee shall provide a report to the legislature on the status of data exchange, and the procurement process for a SCOMIS replacement and a case management system that is designed to meet the requirements approved by the superior courts and the county clerks or all thirty-nine counties.  The legislature shall solicit input on both reports from various judicial, legislative, and executive stakeholders."

 

   

 

 

    EFFECT:   

·    Removes $6 million from the Judicial Information System Account for the Information Services Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts and replaces it with $6 million General Fund-State.

·    Adds $4.9 million from the Judicial Information Systems Account for development and implementation of a Superior Court case management system.

·    Deletes language prohibiting funds from being expended for a Superior Court case management system.

·    Requires the Judicial Information Systems Committee to report to the legislature on the recommendations of a Superior Court case management system feasibility study and on the procurement process for a system that is designed to meet the requirements of all the Superior Courts and County Clerks.

 

    FISCAL IMPACT:

           Increases General Fund-State by $6,011,000.

           Reduces Other Funds by $1,038,000.
