    On page 46, after line 17, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 72.  A new section is added to chapter 50.04 RCW to read as follows:

    (1) The term "employment" includes services performed by any woman acting as a surrogate as defined in RCW 26.26.011.

    (2) The exception tests in RCW 50.04.140(1) and (2) do not apply to services performed by any woman acting as a surrogate as defined in RCW 26.26.011."

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

    Correct the title.

EFFECT:   Defines "employment" under the state Employment Security Act as including services performed by any woman acting as a surrogate.  Makes the exception tests for independent contractors inapplicable to such services.
