    On page 2, at the beginning of line 30, strike "services" and insert "delivery of a child under a surrogacy contract"

    On page 39, line 10, after "RCW;" strike "and"

    On page 39, line 13, after "surrogacy" insert "; and

    (d) He, she, or they are not currently incarcerated in any state jail or state or federal prison and he, she or they have completed a criminal background check.  The criminal background check must be conducted by the department of social and health services and must be paid for by the intended parent or parents"

EFFECT:   Changes the definition of "compensation."  Provides that the intended parent or parents under a surrogacy contract may not be currently incarcerated in jail or prison and must undergo a criminal background check.
