    On page 3, beginning on line 3, strike all of section 2 and insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  Nothing in this act may be construed to preempt or modify:

    (1) Any existing interlocal agreement, franchise, or contract between a city or town and a water-sewer district in effect on the effective date of this section; or

    (2) Chapter 102, Laws of 2010."

EFFECT:  Prevents the preemption or modification of prior legislation relating to alternative city assumption and tax authority provisions pertaining to water-sewer districts specific to the City of Renton.
