    On page 14, after line 8, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 8.  A new section is added to chapter 28B.76 RCW to read as follows: 

    Within existing funds, the higher education coordinating board, in collaboration with the workforce training and education coordinating board and the state board for community and technical colleges, shall report to the governor and the appropriate committees of the legislature by December 1, 2011, and every four years thereafter, with respect to the following data concerning persons receiving baccalaureate degrees from public institutions of higher education during the prior ten year period:

    (a)  Employment rates within three-quarters of college graduation;

    (b)  Employment rates by industry and field of study; and

    (c)  Wage rates by field of study."

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:    Requires the HECB, in collaboration with the WTECB and the SBCTC, to report to the Legislature and the Governor by December 1, 2011 on the employment rates and wage rates of four year college graduates over the past ten years.
