On page 16, line 4, increase the Motor Vehicle Account--State Appropriation by $216,000
On page 16, line 16, correct the total
On page 19, after line 13, insert the following:
"(18) $216,000 of the motor vehicle account--state appropriation is
provided solely for regulating the use of off-road vehicles in certain
areas. If chapter . . . (Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill No.
5366), Laws of 2012 is not enacted by June 30, 2012, the amount
provided in this subsection lapses."
On page 43, after line 28, insert the following:
"Multiuse Roadway Safety Account--State Appropriation . . . . . . . . . . . . $30,000"
On page 43, line 30, correct the total
On page 43, line 36, after "(2)" insert "$30,000 of the multiuse
roadway safety account--state appropriation is provided solely for
regulating the use of off-road vehicles in certain areas. If chapter
. . . (Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill No. 5366), Laws of 2012
is not enacted by June 30, 2012, the amount provided in this subsection
lapses.

EFFECT: Provides appropriation authority for Department of Licensing and Department of Transportation for the implementation of Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill No. 5366 (regulating the use of off-road vehicles in certain areas) and utilizing the new revenue from the new four-wheel all-terrain vehicle registrations for grants to counties to perform safety engineering analysis of mixed vehicle use on county roadways, for local government to erect signs to provide notice to the motoring public that four-wheel all-terrain vehicles are present, and for four-wheel all-terrain vehicle crossings.
