Beginning on page 1, line 4, strike all of section 1
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title.
On page 4, line 35, after "(1)" strike all material through "beginning" and insert "Beginning"
On page 5, line 2, after "containing" strike "TRIS" and insert "tris(2-chloroethyl)phosphate"
On page 5, beginning on line 4, after "(2)" strike all material through "(3)" on line 8
On page 5, line 9, after "containing" strike "TRIS" and insert "tris(2-chloroethyl)phosphate"
On page 5, line 13, after "percent of" strike "TRIS" and insert "tris(2-chloroethyl)phosphate"
Beginning on page 5, line 14, strike all of sections 3 and 4 and insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 3 The department shall develop a voluntary
program to phase out, from residential homes, children's products
containing tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate."
EFFECT: Limits the ban to the chemical TCEP (rather than both TDCPP and TCEP). Removes provisions specifying methods for conducting an alternatives assessment, including the provision allowing manufacturers, wholesalers or retailers to sell children's products containing TRIS until July 1, 2014, if the manufacturer of the product conducts an alternatives assessment. Requires the department of ecology to develop a voluntary program to phase out, from residential homes, children's products containing TDCPP.
