    On page 15, after line 15 insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 15. A new section is added to Chapter 9.94A to read as follows:

    This act does not apply to an offender convicted of assault of a child in the first degree under RCW 9A.36.120. An offender convicted of assault of a child in the first degree under RCW 9A.36.120 is subject to RCW 9.94A.633, 9.94A.706, 9.94A.714, 9.94A.737, and 9.94A.740 as they existed on January 1, 2012."

EFFECT: Exempts offenders convicted of assault of a child from the new hearing requirements and sanctions for violations of community custody and reinstates for such offenders the hearing requirements and sanctions for violations of community custody as they currently exist in chapter 9.94A RCW.
