    On page 35, line 26 after "area" insert the following:

    ", unless the teacher is in an initial sixty school day probationary period established under 28A.405.100"

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:   Makes the performance pay reduction in force provision of the striking amendment not applicable to those teachers who are already in a 60-day probationary period for unsatisfactory performance.
