On page 10, line 13, after "cannabis;" insert the following:
"(v) Have a business or practice which consists primarily of
examining patients for the purpose of authorizing the medical use of
cannabis;
(vi) Include any statement or reference, visual or otherwise, on
the medical use of cannabis in any advertisement for his or her
business or practice;"
Reletter the remaining subsection consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
On page 10, after line 16, insert the following:
"(3) A violation of any provision of subsection (2) of this section
constitutes a misdemeanor."
EFFECT: Health care professionals may not have a practice with the primary purpose of authorizing the medical use of cannabis. They also may not include any statement or reference on the medical use of cannabis in any advertisement for their business or practice. Health care professionals who violate this section are subject to a misdemeanor.
