On page 3, line 4, after "to" insert ": (a) Verify the accuracy of the facial recognition system by requiring applicants for a new or renewal driver's license, permit, or identicard to also verify their identity using a valid social security number or confirmation of lawful presence of the applicant through the systematic alien verification for entitlements program administered by the United States citizenship and immigration services. If the social security number or the lawful presence of the applicant cannot be verified, the application must be denied; and (b)"
EFFECT: Requires DOL to adopt procedures to verify the accuracy of the facial recognition system by requiring applicants for a new or renewal driver's license, permit, or identicard to also verify their identity using a valid social security number or confirmation of lawful presence of the applicant through the systematic alien verification for entitlements program administered by the INS. If the social security number or the lawful presence of the applicant cannot be verified, the application must be denied.
