Background:
In 2011 a bill was enacted that created the Department of Enterprise Services (DES) as an executive branch agency vested with some or all of the powers and duties of the Department of General Administration, the Public Printer, the Department of Personnel, the Office of Financial Management, and the Department of Information Services.
The bill included a provision directing the Code Reviser to prepare legislation for the 2012 regular session that changes all statutory references to the director or department of any agency transferred or consolidated under this act, and changes statutory references to sections recodified by this act but not amended in the act.
Summary of Bill:
Conforming amendments are made to correct statutory references to the affected departments and statutory cross references as a result of the 2011 legislation.
Appropriation: None.
Fiscal Note: Not requested.
Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of the session in which the bill is passed.
