Background: The Washington State Ferries System (WSF) has a policy whereby it provides preferential boarding benefits to various customers, including patients who are traveling for medical treatment. In WSF's capital appropriations are funds to build and implement a reservation system.
Summary of Bill: WSF must provide the same preferential boarding benefits to home health care workers on the San Juan Inner Island Ferry Route that are provided to patients traveling for medical treatment until such time as a reservation system is in place.
